Grief Unwrapped
Discovering Joy in a Season of Sorrow
Can I Live With Joy Ever Again?
When Patricia Cameron’s husband passed away suddenly at 45, that was her burning question. Life without him seemed utterly impossible. He’d been her rock, inspiration, and one of the crazy ones who lived life to the absolute full, and constantly inspired Patricia and their three sons to do the same.
She couldn’t imagine living with joy ever again. Then God stepped in and changed everything.
If you’ve dealt with the devastating loss of your spouse, Patricia has powerful news for you. You can move from survival mode to “thrive-al” mode.
Grief Unwrapped: Discovering Joy in a Season of Sorrow will show you how to:
- Learn to live, truly live again!
- Discover a deep sense of purpose
- Laugh again
- Celebrate again!
- Learn how to let go of even the deepest layers of pain
- Find the courage to step once again into true joy
- See your story from God’s perspective which will change everything
Will your journey back be easy? Of course not. But God has more for you to accomplish with your years. More joy for you to experience. More of your dreams to come true. More life for you to live. Abundant life.
Are you ready? Then let’s go.
What People are Saying
When I read Patricia’s manuscript, I didn’t want to put it down because she grabbed my heart — she opened her life to deep places of the soul. She understands our bleeding, our hurts and our losses. Each page hit a nerve within my own losses, hurts and griefs, past and present.
This Minister of Encouragement needed Patricia Cameron’s encouragement and affirmation.
And she delivered it in an Unwrapped fashion indeed.
Do you need to find your way back to a settled joy that isn’t built on circumstances, but on the rock solid presence of Christ? You need Patricia Cameron in your corner.
Despite great loss, Patricia learned how to walk through heartache with Jesus and in her new book, Grief Unwrapped, she humbly and beautifully shares the lessons from her own experience to show others the way. Her words ring with accolades to the healing power of God’s Word and the soul-healing delight of His Presence

Patricia Cameron
Raised among the cypress trees and bayous of the Louisiana Delta, Patricia Cameron learned early on to cherish God and family. Losing her husband unexpectedly at 45 tested her faith, but also set in motion the desire to help others see that God is worthy of praise, even in times of grief. Her late husband’s zest for life inspired Patricia to live her own, fully aware of God’s presence, power and purpose — and to encourage others to find their faith-driven joy.
Patricia has the honor and joy of raising three sons, Connor, Garrett and Parker. Her daughter Ashlynn died at birth and is safe in the arms of Jesus. Grief Unwrapped: Discovering Joy in a Season of Sorrow, is Patricia’s first book.

A former pastor smiled and shared an observation with me. “Your face is like an open book. I can read it and know exactly what you’re thinking.” He meant it in fun, but that comment stayed with me. Have you ever been so moved by an event that it showed? So shaken over...
Preparing for the Storm
The idea for this blog originated from a text message I sent, checking on my friend Bonny before Hurricane Francine made landfall along the Louisiana coast. I shared with her that it was also the day my husband suffered a fatal medical issue. She wrote these...
Tending the Garden
As our long summer days end, I find myself weeding, trimming and even pulling up plants from my flower beds. I tried to tend to my garden to keep it healthy by trimming, fertilizing and watering. Many days I found it in a hot mess. Those potato vines went crazy this...
Joy is not necessarily the absence of suffering, it is the presence of God. – Sam Storms
