Pleasant memories are like treasured heirlooms. In those sweet, small moments, we can feel God’s presence.”

Raised among the cypress trees and bayous (pronounced bi-u) of the Louisiana delta, Patricia has the honor and joy of raising three sons. She considers her faith and family to be the most important to her.

The sudden death of her husband and best friend rocked her world, but also ignited her passion to share her God-given experiences to help others garner strength and courage to live beyond the pain.

After his death, she lost her sense of purpose, her world revolving around being wife and mother to boys ages 13, 10 and 8. But inspired by his zest for life, she determined to live her life fully, aware of God’s presence, His power and His purpose, and to encourage others to do the same.

Although diving into writing and publishing is new territory for her, Patricia spent most of her career writing for and leading a corporate department of writers, designers and A/V team. Then she founded her own PR consulting firm, and later combined talents with a colleague to launch a marketing/advertising firm.

She has written devotions, led women’s bible studies and taught small group classes for much of her adult life.

Patricia lives in Monroe, Louisiana with her three sons, Connor, Garrett and Parker. Her daughter, Ashlynn, died at birth and is safe in the arms of Jesus.

The Gift; A Widow’s Guide to Life Again, is Patricia’s first book.
